Vision group organized a two-day financial literacy training in partnership with Y-Save Cooperative Savings and Credit Society Ltd to empower and support the women community under the Meeting Point International caring for unprivileged women affected by HIV/AIDS in the areas of Naguru, Kireka-Mbuya, Ntinda and Nsambya.
The training aimed at empowering the women with both financial and entrepreneurship skills to enable them improve their livelihoods, grow their saving and investment culture to enable them support their lives and families both socially and economically.
In addition, over 350kg of scrap paper from VG printing material was donated as raw material for MPI handcraft skill development project. The scrap paper is recycled to produce intricate beads used to design necklaces, earrings and bracelets which the group later sells both locally and internationally to earn an income which is invested in savings, and to sustain their families.
